This was my first amigurumi work. I had no clue how to change colors, how to work in a circle, etc. But with this pattern I learned all I had to learn about crocheting. It’s the best pattern ever. Don’t be afraid to buy it if you are a beginner! This is the best way to learn to crochet!

Loved making this blanket. I am a beginner (this is my first pattern purchase!) and this blanket was a little challening. (Mainly the body parts.) The instructions got me through it thou. Probably going to try another one of the other animals.

My lockdown challenge was to teach myself how to crochet. I loved these cute blankets, so thought I would give one a go, once I’d mastered the skill of basic stitches. I was thrilled with the results. Instructions very clear and fantastic explanations & video tutorials. There was the occasional reference to SC in the cow pattern, which we don’t use in the UK, but once I’d worked that out, it was plain sailing. I’ve now made the elephant and the cow blankets as gifts. The recipients adore them! The most difficult part was getting hold of the white King Cole comfort chunky yarn – it was out of stock from many online suppliers & was snapped up in minutes once it was back in stock!
